E550 headlight problem
Hi guys,
So this all happened when it was raining pretty hard near oc area last week. I was driving my 2011 e550 and out of the blue both low beam went out and I get a message on check low beam light. Then I proceed to stop and check what is going on. I checked the fuse which all of them looks good. Low and high beam will not turn on but the hazard lights will. Something weird is when I turn left or right, the adaptive low bean will turn on in that direction for a couple seconds. I went to my indy shop and the mechanic said it should be my headlight module that is malfunctioning since both sides have a broken fender lining, which exposed the headlight unit and wiring. They told me that each module would cost around $500 and I really do not have the fund for it at the moment. Does anyone know if there is a cheaper alternative for this situation? I was searching the web and found this ( https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-D1S-Xen....c100008.m2219) Not sure if this is the module that the mechanic was talking about.
Also, anyone knows if there are some aftermarket fender lining that I can get while not breaking my arms?
If anyone can give me some advice it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks for reading.

Definitive diagnose, if shop did not already process, is to quick test for fault codes using MB DAS (diagnostics). Front fender cover (120 in diagram) left shop 2076900130 or 2076901830; right 2076900230, 2076901730. Need VIN to provide control unit #.

Also do you have any idea which part to get for the front fender lining and rear lining too?

Would you recommend using OEM Parts or 3rd party for these items?
