Location of the air pump of multi contour seats

Hi guys,

Does anyone know where I can find the air pump of multi contour seats in a 2012 E350 cab? The air cushions of both of the front seats are not inflating and I came across a thread online about a clk coupe which got the similar symptoms. It was fixed by simply cleaning up the carbon buildup of the motor. I'm going to give it a try, however, I guess the air pump location is difference in E350 cab. Is there anyone knows how to access the air pump? Thanks in advance!!!

I hope you get a response. The contour seats on my 2013 E350 Cab haven't worked since the day I bought it 2 years ago. I'd love to know if there is an easy fix.

With your code 809 within the VIN the pumps are located on the left inside side of the backrests

You also have code 809 in your VIN and the pump location is the same--left side within backrest

Thanks for your reply! By inside side of the backrests, did you means it’s sitting under the tonneau cover? I don’t see any component that looks like a pump. Is there a trim covering it? Do you know what is the best way to get access to the pump? Many thanks!!

Yes, attachment covers facelift to better depict the area you suggest for pre-facelift:

Removal and replacement of comfort seats pump.

This is a good picture for removal of the top/hood pump. Are there any details on removal of the comfort seat pump, which is just behind the amplifier in the picture?

WIS doesn’t offer instructions specific to cabriolet, attachments may assist.

Thank you Thank you

It was right where you said it was so I took out the pump checked it with direct Power and it worked fine I also checked the 60 fuse and it was intact The multicontour function is still not working where should I check next? Or will the problem be in the motherboard of the pump? I will post a picture of my trunk fuse box because I don't know if a relay is missing or not.

No relay. Leak may be causing pump not to operate, best to have someone pull fault codes using MB diagnostics reluctant to do so see attachments to disassemble seat, etc. to visually check.

thanks again working on it now! This a car I just purchased, trying to find and fix everything that's not working. I have found one more problem my Windshield washer pump is not turning on, I put direct current to the pump and it's working fine I have checked wiper fuse 10 under hood and it's good I also switched around relay for the wipers and it seem to be fine any suggestions? Note my Windshield wipers don't work also But I think I've found the problem power is getting to the connector but when I put direct power to the windshield wiper motor I get nothing just ordered motor

I'm getting ready to troubleshoot the multicontour seats not working. Since it is both seats, I'm going to start with the fuse and pump. I tried to look up the part number for the pump but had no luck. My VIN is WDDKK7CF7BF045325.

After the pump and fuse, I'll check the lines to see if they hold air. How many psi max should I apply to the lines?

Hopefully this is something simple.

Thanks for the lookup!

Vacuum Pump - is it pressure or vacuum that activates the bladders in the seats?

Thank you again. EDIT - Is the pump located in the left side of the trunk behind the panel or behind the seat?

I checked the fuse and it was fine.
