Had a couple of times lately where I have released the parking brake and started the journey only to have the red light and the warning alarm come on indicating the parking brake has not been released. Upon checking the brake has been totally off. By reapplying and then releasing the brake again it goeis s back to normal. Any ideas what could be causing it?

Check the switch, replacement part # 0015458714 if need be.

I have the amber p light also red warning displays parking brake see owners manual on my w213 E220d 2016.Taken it to MB dealers they said it needs ESP CONTROL UNIT and quoted me £3000 I had this warning light for last four months.What can I do any kind of help will be greatly appreciated.Thank you
