Coolant Residue

So i have noticed on my E400 that there is residue on the coolant reservoir, i've cleaned it off a few times but it forms again which tells me it's leaking. New Cap??

i had the turbo coolant pipe issue couple of years ago and an indy shop replaced the pipe.

lately i have noticed a slow leak (last time when the coolant pipe went bad the leak was quicker, i'd refill and next day it would be low again), the low indicator would come on every a few months and i have been topping it up. lately i have noticed small puddle (not a lot maybe a few drops) on my garage floor semi-regularly (seems like if i leave the car there long enough i will see some), under the the driver side front pumper. looking under the hood i can see some liquid pooled on the tray around there. took it to another indy but the guy said he pressure tested it and can't find the leak?

The system works under pressure and the cap is the highest point of the entire system where the most amount of air can reside. The cap needs to be replaced cause over time the rubber wears and a small amount of vapor and fluid will leak thru.

Actually it turned out to be the reservoir itself that needed to be replaced. After i replaced the cap it worked for a little while then it started leaking again, took it to the dealer and they said it was the reservoir that needed to be replaced. Part was $450 at the dealer, but i found it online for $150. Part number is A2045000749. And the part i found online came from a dealer, so it was oem Mercedes Benz.
