I’ve been eyeing over this CAI made for the C400. It’s the same engine as mine (16 e400 3.0 biturbo)) so I don’t see why it shouldn’t be mostly a bolt-in installation.
Curious if anyone else has tried this?

*if I can get this to fit my car, then this winter I’m gonna build a carbon fibre dual ram air hood to isolate the intake charge from the motor heat.

By looking at website, you will get HOT air under the hood. Take a look at your car and you will see that the factory set up is already getting outside cold air. As a matter of fact, the center duct is used to cool the engine as well. No reason to make any changes.
I didn’t even see where it said my car! Hahaha, Oops, my bad.
As to it now breathing the hot engine air versus cold outside air, that’s true. However that’s where the dual ram air and vented hood comes in.
The factory air tubes are poorly designed and very restrictive, limiting airflow to the intake.
