Need help with distronic plus and aux batt location.
I own a 2012 E350 coupe C207 (blue efficiency) with the 3.5L Left hand steering. The distronic plus was intermittently working and flashing inoperative a few months ago, now it has gone to just inoperative but when I start the vehicle I can see the distance display and it works until I hit the cruise control then get a distronic inoperative. I have cleaned the sensors, checked the sensors with an Icarsoft MBII scanner and all the radar sensors seem to be working. As I'm driving I can watch the values change as I approach objects. The ESP system works but shows a CAN bus error from the modules in the door, The two retractable restraints intermittently work and some times will not extend, that error shows up in the scanner also. I have read a whole lot about how the aux battery starting to go wonky and cause all kinds of weird symptons which this is. I want to check the battery but can not find it. The aux battery IS NOT in the trunk (big empty space where videos show it) and it is not on the drivers side under the dash, took that apart and there is an empty space where a battery could fit but no battery.
Any one have any clue where that aux battery is or if it even has one?
Anyone know of any other items to check that might effect the distronic plus?
