I am a long time lurker but joined forum last month. I have a 2012 E550 coupe. I thought of replacing the grill with diamond type. I am having hard time removing the grill. I followed the steps like removal of intake, remove the shroud, take out the bolt. But then when it comes to removing tabs, I am not able to get the 4 tabs everyone keeps talking about. Looks like there is some padding just under the grill part.

thank you very much. This looks same to grill on my car. for step 10 (Unhook catch hooks D), I tried that last time. but could not do it right and wasnt confidant whether that piece needs to done. I will try it again today.
Well, this document helped immensely. I was doing it wrong before. With these instructions, grill came out in 5 mins. The replacement done in 10 mins flat, thanks again.
