Is there a system reset?

A few weeks ago, I walked out to car, held down the lock sensor on the door handle, doors locked - normal. I released and pressed it again, normally the car chirps and then closes the sun roof. Not this time. I kept trying, and would not close the sun roof. Ok, no biggy. Yesterday I was driving the car, warm inside went to open the sun roof and it also acted weird. Typically if I hit the button vertical lightly, 1st position it will just crack the roof. If i hit the button to 2nd position, the sun roof will fully open the rear side. So then I tried to open the sunroof fully to the retract position. To do this, I will horizontally slide the button, and the window fully opens. Not this time, it only moves when I hold the button. It seems like the 2 position switch is not recognizing the 2nd positions for both directions, vertical ( roof kicked up in rear) and horizontally ( roof fully slides to rear)

Question is with these weird occurrences is there a reset that can be done on the car? I could pull the battery but that kills everything in memory.
