16 e400 winter tire size
bought this e400 coupe in may its going to be my winter beater as i have a 15 c63 507 (and do drive the c63 in the winter with a dedicated winter set, when roads are bare and dry 😄
my question is i know past gen e class coupes can fit 17 inch rims. Anyone know if 17 inch rims can fit this 16 e400?

Unless the brakes on that year are a lot bigger than I think they are you should be fine - you should be able to eyeball that.
You are just going to need to bump up a notch in profile, to compensate for the smaller diameter wheel. Run a 235/45/17 tire.
I would run that all the way around if you are in an area where you are actually expecting snow.

I really been doing research past few days. I looked at dozens of tire shops online only a few of them in the tire configurator say 17 inch will fit such as tirerack.com.
i think I will play it safe go with 18 inch...Would a square setup of 235/40R18 with 18x8 rims work on this car? the stock factory summer tires are 235/40r18 18x8 front and 255/35r18 18x9 rear....its really hard to find staggered winter tires on these odd sizes mercedes puts on these cars.
