A207 - Radio ON but screen is black
Hello fellow MB fans!
I recently started a little TLC on my 2013 E550 (new mats, new top, new K&N filter etc) and while I changed the cupholder trim cover due to a chipped chrome accent, when I removed the central armest/console, I severed the cable of the round control button/wheel (part 204-870-97-58).
When it happened, after a few minutes, the screen turned black, while the radio/CD/Bluetooth kept on working.
I ordered the new part, it was installed by an auto trim specialist (who was redoing my soft top) and since, it is still dark. The new switch assembly is in place and connected.
I have tried disconnecting the battery for 15mn, I have unplugged the fuse 26 for 15mn, I have pressed the ON button on the dashboard Comand system for 30 seconds several times (radio does turn off after about 15 seconds and turns back on).
Please help! Thank you

When replacing push button control panel need to perform initial startup of Audio/COMAND using Xentry (MB diagnostics).

Does anyone have a mechanic in the South Florida area who can do this? I recently had very bad experiences at my MB Dealership...
