Alarm wouldn’t stop!

Hey everyone, I got my windows tinted on my 2014 E Coupe yesterday, and I’m not sure if this has anything to do with it but after a night of being locked, at 6am my alarm decides to wake me and my angry neighbours up! Strangest of all, the alarm wouldn’t turn off when I unlock and lock the car with the key fob, nor did it turn off when i started the engine! After maybe 5-10 mins it turned off on its own.

Any idea why this would happen? And why it didn’t turn off?

Any help would be appreciated

Hi anyone with the same issue! So a quick update, after the above situation, when I went to lock the car the hazard lights were blinking constantly faster than usual. I came across a few people with similar problems on other forums reporting the siren needed to be replaced after battery acid leaked on the circuitry and fried it! I just got the car diagnosed, and they confirmed it is the siren that needs to be replaced. Apparently a common issue in various models! Glad it wasn't something more serious!

Same thing happened to my 2000 CLK430 whileit was in the shop.....suddenly for no reason the alarm went off, setting off the garage's building alarms. They just removed the siren and a fuse....happy ever after.
