Does anyone know a way of detaching the glovebox door. I have a 2010 e550 and the handle broke off now it won’t close.

The glove box door is really not all the serviceable. Thankfully the entire box is relatively easy to remove and used replacements range between $75 and $100 on eBay. (Was quoted $450 for a new box from MB dealer.)

There are videos on YouTube which show how to remove the glovebox - however most videos (that I found anyway) were meant to show how to install applecar play / android auto. Something I plan on doing anyway, so I kind of stumbled across guys removing the glove box. Look for those videos and you'll see how they take the glove box out. Its easy, took me less than 45 min to take the old box out and put the new one in. The below video is an example, at the 3:45 mark he removes the glove box.
