Multiple issues after battery replacement- 2011 E350 Cabriolet
2011 E350 Cabriolet, have owned since new, only 15,000 miles, garage kept.
I have multiple issues after replacing my original battery (Varta/AGM) with a brand new battery (Excide/AGM). Same battery specs. This is the list of inoperable electronics that do not respond.
Drivers side seat adjustor
Drivers side seat lumbar, back, side adjustments
Drivers side Memory
Drivers side lock out for rear windows
Drivers side windows switch’s (all 4) I tried to reset via process of holding switches.
Side view mirror adjustment both left and right.
Rear window switches not working (most likely cause they were set to lock prior to battery replacement.
The console center control for the rag top / all 4 windows up,down / wind deflector work perfectly. This is the only way to open the windows and rag top.
I can also close the rag top and windows with the key fob when out of the car.
The passenger side window switch works and so dose the seat adjustments
Is their an auxiliary battery for this vehicle? Other than that the car runs fine.
I have run through the fuses and all are good.
i used my iCarsoft diagnostic tool and only found power was disrupted.
Your recommendations will be greatly appreciated to help correct the issues? Thanks
Regards,
Bob

Open hood
Close all doors but leaving driver window open
Lock the car
Remove all keys away from the vehicle; KG, do not touch handles
Wait at least 30 minutes for the car to go into sleep-mode
Disconnect battery, negative then positive
Reconnect, positive then negative
More time than not you will not lose any calibration and vehicle systems get a fresh start without setting any DTC's. If this fails you may need to have someone erase stored/retrieve new codes + reset using Xentry (MB diagnostics).

I also noticed the evening perimeter lighting on the drivers side door do not illuminate, only the passenger side light up.
I do have the ICarsoft MBII diagnostic tool. I will run another scan to see what is going on.
