2013 E350 cab transmission issues
There has been total replacement of transmission fluid, filter and so forth.
Service mgr. (not at MB dlrshp) is a bit baffled as to cause. He suggests that the car (I bought used with 111k miles) may have "sat" for long period.
Replaced the fluid plus an additive to "free up" parts might help.
Shifting and overall operation is better but still has stutter/shudder and occasional "hesitation." Perhaps I should just drive it another 100 miles or so??
Two posts suggested fixes:
One talked about the electrical connection plug leaking transmission fluid to the TCU via "wicking." Does this make any sense?
Another talks about a WPM thingie relating to the torque converter that should be replaced.
All suggestion welcome. I'm obviously not a mechanic or mechanically inclined...have mercy.
Did this start happening after transmission fluid change? I am about to do mine for the first time after 80,000 miles and I've heard people having issues after the fluid change.
Thank you.
