Android 12 and Text Messages
After upgrading my phone to Android 12, I found that I no longer got text messages on my COMAND unit. I have a 2013 E550 Cabriolet.
The messages option doesn't even appear. Worked fine before.
Anyone else experiencing this problem? Known fixes?

Possible that the update changed permissions? Have you gone into BT settings make sure your car still has access to messages?

That's the problem. The Bluetooth settings for the COMAND (device) no longer include an option for SMS. I was hoping maybe it got buried somewhere else.

You are not the only one. Seems to be an issue with Android 12.

Fixed
Stumbled across the fix for this. You must pair your phone as an audio BT device IN ADDITION to the regular pairing . This will give you the option to share text messages.
