Recalibrating after tire upsizing?

Has anyone recalibrated their electronics after upsizing the tires? Read somewhere that the odometer will show different mileages and also the fuel consumption data would be wrong. If yes, how can one do this? Can it be done manually or a technician's assist is needed?

I may be wrong, but I don’t believe that should be an issue unless you changed to wheels & tires that drastically varies from the factory size. Most wheel & tire packages will match the overall circumference of the original wheels & tires, so the car doesn’t recognize that there has been a change.

Curious to know if posssible too, or if it requires a different speedo gear in the tranny or the tranny ECU messing with.

what sizes have you upgraded to and what are the before and after rolling diameters (rev per mile )

I use the stock AMG option wheels and have thought about using 10mm bigger tire sizes ie 245 not 235 etc

Interested in knowing, therefore

The years of speedo gears are long gone, it's all electronic. For Jeeps, there are several flash options to calibrate the vehicle for bigger tires. Unless you're going total Donk and putting some uglyass huge rims on it, it's probably not worrying about.

Right now I am on winter tires 235/45-17. For the summer I'll have 235/35-19 front and 255/35-19 back (or 275/30-19) and both are within 3% difference in diameter/circumference. With this said, the speedometer and odometer would have a bit of an error in the data. Also, abs, esp and other safety systems might get confused?
