Code shown P0347 on 2012 E550

Hello,

I have a code P0347 on a 2012 E550 and I was informed that It might be a magnetic solenoid, I changed it and the code popped up again. I see that its saying "Bank 2 Sensor A" Does anyone know out of the 2 camshaft sensors which is "A"? Thanks

There's 2 ways to find out, replace both or buy one new one and put it in, if that isn't it, switch it to the other spot.

I meant to add that the wiring harness for thee sensors is vulnerable to damage and may be compromised. Check for circuit continuity.

Bank 2 is driver's side; sensor A is most likely for the intake cam, so would be higher/closer to the center of the engine:

If you find oil in the electrical connector, check all and replace with the latest part if needed.

I am in the middle of replacing the sensors and solenoids and adding pigtails to the sensors. All done except the two solenoids on the driver side. I might be able to get the right one out by removing the oil filter top. Maybe. It will be tight. But the hard lines on the left are in the way of the left solenoid. Any idea what those hard lines are? Does the entire oil filter assembly need to come out? It seems other models with the m278 don’t have those lines. Thanks! Mine is a 2013 E550 Coupe.

To update, since the two solenoids I can’t get to did not exhibit any oil in the wiring, I left them and just added pigtails. When I got the pigtails for the cam sensors, I found oil had already made it into the wires I cleaned when replacing the sensors last week. That indicates to me the pigtails are a must.
