"Invalid disk please check the disk" displayed on screen. ????
Hello everyone,
I have a 2010 E350 AMG Sport A207 Cabriolet, I live in Australia RHD.
The display has come up with a msg saying "Invalid disk please check the disk"
The Nav no longer works
The CD player no longer works
Reverse camera no longer works
The centre console paddle control no longer works.
The eject button for CD player will not eject any disks.
The radio is still working and currently connected to blue tooth on my phone still playing music through the Harmon Kardon system.
The radio cuts out about every 60 seconds for about 10 seconds and then starts working again.
I have looked at all fuses, all ok.
I have removed fuses to try reboot, still nothing.
I have not tried a hard reset for fear of loosing my pre set radio station connected to the blue tooth, it would mean no radio at all if it didn't fix the problem.
Does anyone have any suggestions short of taking it to Mercedes benz and being charged $275 an hour to put it on their computer and trying to update the software???
Thank you kindly in advance,
Damon.

I don't know if your car has one, but to me it sounds like a hard drive crash. That wouldn't be surprising in a car that's 12 or 13 years old. When a hard drive dies, there's generally little option other than reformatting or replacing it, and in either case all of the stored data and programs must be reinstalled. If that's the case, I think you'll need to take the car to a dealer — it wouldn't be something that your friendly neighborhood shade-tree mechanic can fix.

MBUSA = NTG4 not sure about your market, need VIN to confirm. DVD reader in the COMAND may not be reading disks, options: try cleaning changer, replace changer, or replace complete head unit.
