M276 Oil Type
I can't seem to find a definitive answer on this. After searching for a while I am lead to believe my goto European spec Mobile 1 0w40 is not good to use. Some say that it is not good for direct injection apparently. Is the euro spec mobile 1 5w40 the new alternate? I have a stock pile of 0w40 oil, but now I am wondering if i should change. Help Please!

MB has published the latest oil use and just specifies several different viscosity as OK to use as long as it meets one of the 229.xx specs. I use to use 0W40 Europe blend in my GLK350 (229.52) but now I use 0W20 (229.71) in my GLB which is shown in the owner's manual as the preferred blend. This oil also has been shown to help with the low speed pre ignition issue that some users have.

PFL205.064 with M276.823 (Oil pump solenoid defeated)
Consider Motul and Pennzoil as well with 5W-40.
