A Hiccup?

Hello All.

Now.. I was not in the car when this occurred. My husband attempted to drive for the first time in many months (eyeball issues). When he picked me up at my store... he was panicked because (he said) the car is running very rough..and shifting oddly ( probably the limp home mode??). A did note a tiny yellow lamp glowing ( wish I'd taken a picture). I then shut off and restarted the car...and it drove as normal.

So yesterday I visited my Mercedes Service Advisor who proceeded to read the codes..and sniff around under the hood. He told me that the car is perfect. And chuckled.

I use Shell 93 octane, tank was near full.

Kind thoughts welcome.

Best,

Mark

ps I asked if perhaps I need a new battery? He said no. Also...the navigation was not scaled properly after the incident (too large). Related?

Perhaps he had the transmission in the wrong setting, locking the car in a low gear or something?

Also, the manual says there is a yellow warning light for parking assist PARKTRONIC "obstacles are at a distance of between approximately 2.0 ft."

Oh my!

I didn't realize that the transmission had that setting. I'll bet that's what happened....

I must locate this low gear setting. I don't think that my machine has Parktronic. I married a brilliant man who just doesn't like to drive.

So many thanks,

Mark

Yup. Methinks that he was driving the car in the Manual mode, a feature that I've never used. The distance driven was approximately 5 miles. Would I be wise to service the transmission?

2013 E350. 64,000 miles.

Again, thank you so much for your input.
