2012 e350 Cab Error Codes
Folks,
I've got a 2012 e350 Cab with the following codes...trying to keep mechanics honest here, because I believe there may be a first fault causing the others because of how these present:
1 IRS-HRA Outer right rear intelligent radar sensor C1504
1 IRS-HRA Outer left rear inteligent radar sensor C1804
1 SRS - Supplemental restraint system (N2/10) Code - B1B51 Belt buckle "Driver" has a short circuit to positive or open circuit.
1 RevETR-LF-Left front reversible emergency C1209-08
I do know that the radar sensors can get corroded because of being placed in the wheel wells and are expensive to get replaced (one of the first years MB offered this no almost "standard" feature.
The SRS failure makes me wonder if there isn't a short there that is causing the others to appear to "fail".
What is the general consensus on the "root-cause" probability of this. I just moved to this town, the mechanic has a 5 star rating and does have experience with MB.
Also, this same mechanic is willing to do the 100k mile spark plug replacement for just over $500, where the local MB certified mechanic quoted $2200.
The nearest "stealership" is in Franklin, TN, about 40 miles north of here...had multiple bad experiences with them charging a ton and not really appearing to have actually DONE the work...so I'm a bit snake bit here.
