Hello, I have an E400 Coupe. She's great, but I am struggling with trying to carry a hardboard SUP. I called the dealerships and they have discontinued a roof rack for this car, and the after market is getting up to 900. I bought a SUP from a shop and they put these odd adjustable bars on my car, gel pads sit on the part that would nornally have a rack screwed into as he was concerned about the weight rigth on the roof. I've used this a few times, but it's awful as you have to tie to rack to the car, then tie the SUP to the tied rack. Lot's of ties
. .So, I wanted to see if you guys think I can simply use quite a few foam blocks on the roof and just tie down the SUP (weighs 35lbs) to the foam blocks without doing anything stupid to the roof. I think the shop avoided that due to liability, but I'm thinking, it's only 35 lbs...surely that's okay on the roof if you keep the sunroof shut? Thoughts appreciated!

Hey, not sure if you have found a solution. However I have searched and tried two roof racks that claimed they are for C207’s and they were clearly not. I am on the hunt as well and wondered if you solved your issue. Just need the roof carriers for now but dont want to do Yakima as they are way to expensive.
