My A207 E-Brake will not release regularly. This is a recent development. It functions, meaning when fully depressed the brake light is on and the brake is engaged. When i pull the release handle it will not release, sometimes there is a delay but others i need to physically assist by pushing/pulling up on the pedal. There are no codes so it seems a mechanical issue. Has anyone had anything like this happen? With no codes i would hate to have a service tech dig around at $$$$/hr. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I've occasionally had a similar problem with my 2018 E400, usually after a trip through the carwash. Issue seems to be related to the brake pads sticking to the brake discs, perhaps due to a bit of rust (we live near the ocean, and the salt air affects everything). The brakes release after a few back and forths. Dealer said to be sure to dry the brakes after any wash. Hasn't happened recently, so perhaps it's more of a problem when the brakes are new.

Hello from Spain.
I had the same issue and is so easy to fix that you will not believe it.

You just need WD40 or similar and 5 minutes

Now it works soft and fast as brand new
