Disfunctional multicontour seats

Disfunctional multicontour seats

Neither of the multicontour seats work, and I don't hear any pump noises after moving the buttons. After examining the driver's seat, I found three tubes that appear to be snapped (see attached photo). Could this be the source of the problem? I've read on other threads that a disconnection in one seat can break both.

Car only has 38k miles on it, so I'd be surprised if the pumps already wore out.

Likely your pump is toast if you have cracked hoses..as the pump will run continuously.- eventually burning out. My car cooked through 2 pumps within a month of each other due to the same issue. Try sniffing for burned electrical smells in the trunk (driver side area). I think that this is where the pump is located? Or maybe I'm wrong.

That makes sense. I thought the pumps were built into the seats. Regardless, I want to make sure the tubes are intact before replacing pumps.

I was just trying to see if there was an obvious broken/ disconnected tube for this feature. Does anyone happen to know?

My car's pump is in the trunk. There is only one pump for both seats, and as mentioned above, it will quickly burn out if it runs continuously due to an air leak anywhere in the system. In my case, there were leaks in multiple bladders which necessitated replacement of all seven bladders and the pump. It was not cheap.

I have pumps in both seats. Someone identified when the change from one central pump to two separate pumps was made. The pumps shut off if the pressure doesn't build up, but they will make a noise briefly when turning on the ignition.

For me, the connectors were snapped, the hoses themselves were okay (they are rubber after all). Replacements are not cheap (could only buy them with hoses), but fixed it for me.
