It seems something broke my grille, and it will need to be replaced.
There is no damage to anything behind the grille.
Any advice is appreciated, including alternative part suppliers and part number.

You have lots of choices. Taking off the grill can be seen the video below and options on ebay is at the link below as well.

Thanks for that video and the eBay link. When I followed the eBay link it calls out for fitment for a W207 vice a C207. From what I understand, the W is a sedan identifier. Would there be any actual difference for the grille?

W207 is the E Coupe or Cabriolet body reference (C207 is coupe and A207 is Cabriolet is another way that's notated, but W207 the shared body code).

W212 is the E Sedan body reference of the same generation and made at a different factory location in Germany then the coupe/cabriolet. If you have a coupe/cabriolet you will want to get W207 parts. If you have a sedan then you want to get W212 parts. Since you posted in the coupe/cabriolet forum, I figured you have a coupe or cabriolet.

You could also look at W204 parts, W204 is C Sedan and the W204 C Sedan and W207 E Coupe/Cabriolet were all made on the same factory line in Bremen, Germany, sharing probably around 90% or higher the same parts. Often you'll find W207 and W204 stamped on parts because it could fit in either body. For grills, I would stick to looking for W207 parts to be sure it will fit your E400.

You will need a grille specifically designated for your model year. Although grilles for earlier years/models (e.g., E350) look like they will fit your car, they will NOT.
