Tire Pressure Monitor Inoperative

Tire Pressure Monitor Inoperative
My 2012 E350 (A207) has developed an interesting problem. I get a message "Tire Pressure Monitor Inoperative" and when I go to check my tire pressure I cannot see any of the tire pressure readings, just that message. now that it is getting colder i get the "correct tire pressure" message which shows all four tires and the corresponding pressure. Once I "OK" the correct pressure message it goes back to the "Tire Pressure Monitor Inoperative" message and will no longer show the individual tire pressure. If it is truly inoperative I am not sure how it is showing data in the other message. I replaced my tires recently (Costco) and they stated that the TPMS are good and that it needs a "Re-learn" process that they could not complete, claiming their computers couldn't perform it, only a dealership. My local dealership gave me the default answer of we'll charge you for a diagnostic and let you know what we find out. Anyone ever experienced this before?

Costco should have been able to reprogram that. I go to Discount Tire, had all 4 of my tired replaced in May, and they reprogrammed all my tires on a 2012 E550. No need to go to a dealership.
