C207 E350 – SRS Pelvis Airbag (9CD1) High Resistance When Adjusting Seat
I’ve got a C207 E350, and I’m running into an issue with the left SRS (pelvis airbag) warning light. The code is 9CD1 – Ignition Circuit, Left Pelvis Airbag, High Resistance.
The warning light only comes on when I adjust the seat using the power controls—leaning in, leaning up, or moving it forward. It doesn’t happen every time, but when scanning, I’ve noticed resistance spikes in the ignition circuit.
Has anyone dealt with this before? Could it be a wiring issue under the seat, a loose connector, or something deeper in the SRS system? Any advice on troubleshooting would be appreciated!
Thanks!
If it were me I'd ignore it altogether, especially since I have no need to move the seat because I've learned the hard way that other people break your things, wife included, kids guaranteed. So nobody drives my car.
Optionally, if you want, I would unplug all the connections and plug them back in, and check for water damage at that moment. I doubt it matters but the safe thing would be to unplug the battery when doing it. Airbags are scary, both expensive and the damage they cause to the car, so the last thing you want is to trip one. I wish my car didn't have them at all.
I also wonder; does it fault when the eng is running, or only when off? Because the voltage drops lower when off so it's a clue.
