Dynamics control

As my current C207 E350 is totaled due to floods I am looking into buying another pre 2011 C207 but a E550 this time. As I am looking over what is available it seems all of them are equipped with "483 VEHICLE DYNAMICS PACKAGE". I live in a location with pretty rough roads so I do need to replace struts and bushings quite often. I don't really care for the dynamics package and the struts are quite expensive so my question is does unplugging the struts illuminate a warning? Can the system be disabled / turned off without dashboard warnings? And is a swap with struts from a regular c207 possible without ruining the stock ride height / ride quality? I am also considering a W212 E550 pre 2011 but all of them seem equipped with air suspension and I fear I will be chewing through airbags on the regular.

Dang son your roads are that bad? Where do you live Bulgaria!?! Are you getting a coupe or cabriolet? If not then you don’t have to worry about the dynamics package as it’s not offered on the 4-door. It only comes with optional air suspension or standard adjustable struts.

Cheers

I do in fact live in Bulgaria and cheapest aftermarket struts are about 5 times more expensive than the standard ones. Seeing how I change them about once a year that is in fact significant. I am looking at coupes currently. If the dynamic control cannot be turned off and allow me to run regular struts I will consider different options.

You can get the Monroe struts for a lot cheaper and they are made in Europe. Monroe, Model C2508R (Right side) and C2509L (Left side) for the front struts. The rear part numbers are C2510R and C2511L. I'd contact Monroe to find out where you can buy in Bulgaria and hopefully cheaper option exists that fits your budget. They do have a 5 year warranty from Monroe as listed on the below website.

https://www.monroe.com/products/rest...ridesense.html
Note: Monroe only shows W204 as being the vehicle that uses these shocks, but they are used in the Dynamic Handling - Code 483 of W207 as well which is the E350 or E550 Coupes/Convertibles.

Thats pretty interesting since most if not all parts retailers here give a maximum of 6 months warranty on parts. Good to know though, thanks a bunch.
