change permanent display to kmh instead of mph

Hi all have a strange issue
in the main instrument cluster I see only 2 options for the small permanent display icon: either weather (set in C) and speed (set in mph)

how can I get the permanent display to be in km/h

I have the mercedes creader and have gone to IC and played around with variant settings but cant seem to find the one to have the small permanent display in km/h
also have access to xentry and dts monaco and vediamo if anyone can walk me thru how to change it.

edit I have a 2012 E250 CDI (located in Australia)

If I remember correctly, those options are available in the menu found by using the vehicle menu buttons on the left side of the steering wheel.

I've read about this a few times on the Mercedes Facebook groups. I am in NZ and also desperately want it to display KMH. But the advice I've seen is that it can only ever be the opposite of the car's original unit. Eg American cars will have that display KMH and Continental European cars (and us) will have that show MPH permanently. I think the intention was for it to be useful when crossing borders. However most of us actually want to use it as a normal speedo so it's really annoying.
