I recently did a suspension refresh on my 2014 E550 coupe. The car came with the Damptronic adjustable suspension (483 I believe), but replacing that was incredibly expensive so I tried a different route. I got Sachs shocks and struts that are for the 486 sports suspension, the KW EDC cancellation kit, Bilstein B3 front springs and Lesjofors springs for the back. The Bilstiens were way too low so I put the stock springs back on, and I'm ok with the ride height there, but I left the Lesjofors on the back and it sits way too high for my liking. It's about a 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 inch gap between the tire and the wheel opening.
I'm wondering:
- Will these springs settle enough to be acceptable?
- Lesjofors has two part numbers for rear springs, one says it's for the sedan and the other just says for "E550"; should I try those out? (https://www.partsgeek.com/ss/?ssq=20...50+Coil+Spring)
- Are there any other options here?
- Am I missing anything?
Any help is greatly appreciated. This is driving me nuts and I can't seem to get answers from anyone.
Best,
JFM
