Can't believe MB customer Service
I have E350 Coupe 2012 4 matic.
It has been told to me that I NEVER have to change a front and rear differential oil - ever. not true for any other car I've owned.
Can anyone shed light on this? Preferable someone that has e350 coupe 4 matic
thanks in advance.

I don't know whom in customer service you asked, but was it a MB mechanic with loads of experience? What does your service manual say about that? It should have all what needs doing and when.

Both dealerships i deal with i know the owners. Always get treated with upmost respect. I get to talk to the tech and go in garage while they take care of my beast. Then again it's an honor for the to work on a MY2016 built to my specs E63S, and also mine has really low miles so the times it's been in has been for the usual. I always read threads post of whiners. Sometimes I ask maybe it's not the MB-Service dept. It's the customer

i was not responding to your post from the matter of oil changes. It was a matter of how posters will whine about MB, or their service depts. My take is not always them but the customer. I owned a w212 e550 4matic guy

The general rule is;
No oil change for open differentials. (And for most other types except clutch pack)
Clutch pack type limited slip differentials typically get their oil changed, perhaps 1,000 miles, 50,000 and 100,000.
They also use an additive to prevent chatter in tight turns on pavement.
A few AMGs use clutch pack differentials.
Most 4 matics have open differentials using using computer controlled braking of any spinning wheels.
G Wagons have three lockable differentials

Not required but consider replacing every 70,000 miles/7 years matching ATF change, your call. Front apply same method here: https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...ml#post6397209 rear should be straight forward. BTW should be posting here: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-c...brio-a207-141/
