AMG Track Pace - E53 Performance
After a break-in as recommended by the owners manual, then an additional 1000 miles, I checked out the performance of the AMG E53 Coupe. I used the AMG Track Pace to try a 0-60 run. It did a 4.74 second time to 60 MPH. Not quite the 4.3 seconds claimed by MB, but pretty close. It reached 30 MPH in 42 feet and in 60 MPH in 227 feet. The car was in Sport Plus mode with no brake torque and fully up to operating temperatures. The outside temperature was 34 degrees. A slight turning input about 1/2 way through the run seemed to slow the acceleration slightly on the graph. Please share your experience with the AMG Track Pace App in the E53. |
Cool. Never thought of it. How to setup track pace for that?

With outside temp at 34 degrees I'm sure you're losing a few tenths there. That's a bit too cold for max grip in my view.

Anyone know if the Track Pace App can be added later?

I was thinking the same thing that it should be easy to add after sale but it doesn’t seem that Mercedes has embraced that business model yet. At least they’re now doing OTA software updates.
|
I’ve seen over the air map updates, but they have yet to release any updates for COMAND or any other system.
|
It’s available in the MB me App Store, not cheap though.
