After a matriculous break-in as recommended by the owners manual, then an additional nearly 1000 miles, I finally started to check out the performance of my new AMG E53 Coupe. Today I used the AMG Track Pace to try a 0-60 run. I only tried it one time and got a 4.74 second time to 60 MPH. Not quite at the 4.3 seconds claimed by MB, but pretty close for a first attempt. It reached 30 MPH in 42 feet and in 60 in 227 feet. The car was in Sport Plus mode with no brake torque and fully up to operating temperatures. The outside temperature was 34 degrees. I made a slight turning input about 1/2 way through the run which slowed the acceleration slightly on the graph.

Agreed. I also had a full tank of gas. I could have shaved off some weight by making the run with a quarter tank.

If you have the Track Pace App, it’s in Vehicle Settings. To do the 0-60 test, select drag race and then select the speed to which you wish to time. All you do from there is hit the gas and hold on.
