I’ve become hooked on Waze. Very simple to use and the warnings are quite good. If they warn about something that isn’t there anymore I can just input “Not There”. Not sure why Mercedes can’t make things simple. Don’t get me wrong - I love my E53 Cab - one of the best cars I’ve had, but the Command interface isn’t very intuitive

I’ve tried Apple maps and WAZE through Apple CarPlay and find the COMAND maps detail, voice navigation, lane suggestions to be very easy to use and better than CarPlay. The only thing I find to be lacking is road hazard notifications. Now, I use the COMAND map display for navigation and keep WAZE running on a phone for the audible hazard warnings. A compromise, but effective.

I always wondered what that send was for on that screen. Problem is nobody knows about it but us now so almost nothing gets reported lol.

I really wish Mercedes would put out some detailed information about how to use Car-toX and what drivers should expect.
