C300 2013
2018 E400 Coupe vs 2017 C43 amg

Hi everyone,
I'm 25.
I currently own C300 2013 and want to upgrade.
I can't decide between 2018 E400 Coupe (31k miles) and 2017 C43 (20k Miles). Both cars are white and cost the same.

Things I like about E400: Shape of the car, luxurious interior, ambient lighting, 18months/ 19k warranty left.
Things I don't like about E400: Analogue cluster

Things I like about c43: AMG Exhaust sound, acceleration.
Things I don't like about E400: simple interior, 9month warranty left

As you can tell I don't know what I want lol
I undestand that e400 provides a more luxurious drive, but c43 provides a more fun drive. That is why I think it would be smart to consider any car issues that I may incounter along the way. Which car i would spend more on maintenance?
Your comments would be greatly appreciated.

This and that.
It's hard to compare as you said as they are both different vehicles. One is a sedan and the other is a coupe. And also different in every other way.

If it were me picking it right now, I would pick the E. If I was picking 9 years ago when I was 25, I'd pick the C43 (but only if it was a coupe). I am not a big fan of sedans.

I'm 43. Not "old" but not young like you. I drive a 2018 E400 coupe and it puts a smile on my face every time. If I was 25, and the C43 was a coupe, I'd probably drive that instead.

Apparently the C43 chews through tyres pretty quickly
An E400 has very good pace .
The E coupe you can wind down all windows and there is no b pillar, whereas you have that in the C43 no matter if it is a coupe, saloon or wagon. So it's safer as you have better visibility.
The E coupe has room for adults in the back
The analogue cluster you could change down the track if you wanted anyway obviously at a cost
The E has better sound deadening than the C.

How big are you? Which one would fit you better?
How long do you plan to keep it?
Is it for long distances or just driving around.

If it were me i think of the practical considerations, i would want to ensure i had driver and passenger seat memory, if i used carplay does it have that, how much do i think i will carry (can it fit stuff i need), etc

I'm like teksurv above

'09 Mercedes GL450, '72 280SE 4.5, E400 on order
I was set on c43 coupe. Was going to do European Delivery. Showed up at local dealership with our suitcases and kids seats that we were planning to take with us (yeah it was a sight to see!). Couldn't fit ANYTHING in the c43. Drove the E-coupe and decided on the spot that that was the car for me/us! Very comfortable, enough space, great power, AWD. Possibly more spacious rear seats than S-coupe. Absent B-pillar is the most amazing automotive feature ever. One thing that made decision easier though is the fact that I already owned a 2 seater car.

If you don't plan to have more than 2 people in the car frequently and not travel a lot, you will not make a bad decision either way. They are both amazing cars.

Buy it, drive it, love it
