fuel door malfunction

I bought a 2020 E450 coupe a few days ago and after filling the tank up for the first time I got in my car, drove off, and an hour later once I reached my destination noticed that my fuel door was open. I tried to close it but it just kept on popping open. After a few attempts, I was able to get it to stay closed. I was near my dealership so I dropped by to let them know about it and they just happened to have a new actuator to replace it and it was good to go.

Otherwise, I love this car, especially the sound of the stereo.

i hope your dealer is able to resolve the issue for you. I have had my coupe since January 2018 with no fuel filler door issues so I assume it's a one off issue.

It was fixed yesterday. One stop fix. I just can't understand how something like this gets unnoticed at the factory.

I had the same issue at about 8 months. A quick fix at dealer. They had the part so we aren’t the only ones.
