E450 coupe quietness (versus other models with Acoustic Comfort available)

Not apples to apples, but I'm trying to conceptualize how the noise component compares in an E450 coupe, which doesn't have Acoustic Comfort available as an option (and is a traditional coupe), to something like the CLS450 "coupe," which does (but is still a four-door).

I drive an S coupe which includes some such components (double-pane glass, sound deadening, etc), but I don't know how any of the above would compare. Can't readily test drive them currently/locally at present.

Thanks in advance.

interior noise will also depend on whether tires are run flat or not, and tire size.

Not sure if this helps but I went from a 2015 Audi A8L to a 2019 E450 cabriolet. The Audi had the acoustic glass and was a very quiet car. However, with the top closed my convertible while noisier is surprisingly quiet. I notice the difference but it’s not enough to bother me. I have no problem holding a conversation or using the phone at 75 or 80mph.

I have an E450 coupe with 18" wheels and Air Body Control and it's extremely quiet in terms of road and tire noise. I am running Michelin Pilot Sport AS4's. There is a very small amount of wind noise at interstate speeds from where a normal car's B pillar would be but it's still one of the quietest vehicles I have owned or driven.

Still waiting on mine to arrive, but I feel that the Burmeister sound system will drown out ANY outside noise. That system is amazing for factory!

Agreed! I’ve had mine for a little over a month and I can’t say there has been any noise to the level that you can significantly notice it, possibly with the stereo completely off but even then it’s negligible. I have the Burmeister system (not the top end 3D Surround but the one that’s above the base system) and it sounds incredible and will absolutely cancel out any road noise you would possibly hear with ease.
