I’ve done tuning on a BMW 535 with Dinan. Went from 300hp to 380, torque from 300 to 421. The car was a half second quicker 0-60. However in real life if you hit the gas a half second quicker it negates all the work. It had more power all around but you can just add more throttle during everyday driving.
All in all, unless you floor the car regularly it may not be worth the $2500.
Case in point - I’ve had four BMW Five series cars with different engines. NA Six, Turbo Six, V8. Surprisingly all got about the same gas mileage because I just laid into the gas on the less powerful engines more to drive the speed I wanted.
I switched to a E550 Cab and now a E53 cab, so I like fast and the higher performance trim looks better and sounds better. Maybe you would get pleasure with a new performance exhaust.
