only if you prepaid for it or got them to agree to include it at no charge ( in writing). On my 2016, I got them to throw it in with no charge. That was a different era of course.

Pre-paid maintenance makes sense if you lease the car and the pre-paid fee is is included in the lease calculation. If you are purchasing it probably doesn't make much sense.

Unless you are leasing for business, I have to disagree. Based on pricing I saw, the actual discount doesn’t even kick in until the 3rd service. What difference does it make how you pay for it? $3,000 is $3,000. I will buy it right before my first service. I see no reason to finance it. I’ll charge it and get cash back.

I have a 2022 E450 Cab on order through MB of Atlanta Northeast. Order placed in April, with production originally scheduled for July, then moved to early Sept. then on to early Oct., and now first week of November. My salesman, who is a 30-year veteran, assures me the car is on the production schedule rather than just a wait list. Chip shortages abound, so we shall see.
I have an update about your car with good and bad news. The good news is that your car has finally been cleared for production, and the status codes have been updated to reflect this progress. The bad news is that production is now scheduled to be completed by Dec. 10th (another indication that it is on track to be built). We will probably not see the car on our lot before the new year. Unfortunately your car is not the only one being severely impacted by this micro chip and supply chain problem that has played havoc with the previously reliable scheduling by Mercedes that we were able to estimate delivery time frames within a week or so.

Update from my dealer below. Production moved again, though appears this one may stick? It's encouraging at least to (finally) see E450 listings on the AutoTrader site.

The bad news is that production is now scheduled to be completed by Dec. 10th (another indication that it is on track to be built). We will probably not see the car on our lot before the new year. When did you find out that these features were missing? On delivery or were you given a heads up before then?
For a further annoyance, the build sheet didn't specifically list the Augmented Video as deleted. By reading the list of options I figure out it was missing. AND THEY DIDN'T deduct it from the price. All the way down to when I was in the room with the finance guy getting ready to sign the lease, the $350 for Augmented Video was STILL in the price of the car, even though I had pointed it out several times and it was not priced in on the sticker. The finance guy finally corrected it last minute.

We were finally moving along nicely:
12/1---Produced not shipped
12/3---Factory invoiced
12/4---At Port--No Ship Assigned
The next line was supposed to be Ship Assigned
Unfortunately the next line is
12/25 Factory Delayed --Semi-conductor related
We are not being given any further information yet, but we are trying to get it. I will pass it along as soon as we get more information to pass along. I am so sorry for this newest delay.

Wowser, that is indeed odd. Have not heard the semi-conductor issue.

Congratulations GTO ,the car looks amazing ! Looks like same combination as mine Rubellite Red with 10 spoke wheels . Now I'm more excited to get mine delivered , hopefully by June .

She is a beauty! We opted for the 10 spoke wheels as well. Love the look. Ours is due for production in the third decade of this month. Congrats. Hope ours makes it through.
