Seat Swap

The discussion centers around finding a set of used cabriolet seats, and swapping them into the wagon. Seems simple IMO, but our MB tech guru is doing some research on the possibility of performing that swap as it involves more than just unbolting and bolting. Has anyone on this forum replaced the seats in a sedan or wagon? If so, what replacement seating did you use? OEM? Aftermarket? Thanks in advance!
So to the coupe / cab community: has anyone knowledge of any seat swaps that may have been done? Or perhaps one may have the odd set of front seats lying about the house, and wish to sell them? I know I am in unicorn territory with this pursuit, however the difference in the seating is substantial. I have my local MB Guru at work on the electrical / safety / specification compatibility; there has to be a way!

Thanks.
No, Black Nappa leather Mercedes seats from another car will not go into a 2021 E450 without significant modification, due to differences in mounting, electrical connectors, and vehicle systems. While the E450 can be equipped with massage and contour seats, these seats are typically model-specific and are integrated with the vehicle's unique architecture.
Reasons why the swap won't work
- Mounting: Seats are designed to bolt into specific mounting points in the floor pan of a particular car model, and these will not align between different Mercedes models.
- Electrical connectors: The wiring harnesses for seat functions like heating, ventilation, massage, and multi-contour adjustments are different between models and are not directly interchangeable.
- Vehicle electronics: The seats are electronically integrated with the vehicle's control modules. For example, the massage seat's electrical components will not communicate with the control system of a different model.
- Safety systems: Seat compatibility is crucial for the vehicle's safety systems, such as airbags. Swapping seats could compromise the performance and safety of these systems.
