i noticed that cars milage is accurately reflected in my mercedes account, mbusa confirmed they are tracking but not specified if only the number of miles being transmitted just the number of miles or complete gps data. not sure about how does this fact comply with us laws as i was n, but i simply want to cut it off anx mbusa said they dont know how and its an essential part of the vehicle.

is anyone aware of this and how to deal with it?

This place is a joke.
Not only are they tracking you, but they can listen through all the microphones in your car. Glad all my older MB's are "unplugged"

sure if i knew where to find it, will it help to resolve my question how to cut it off though? i never consented to provide my data in first place regardless of the way they'd use it.

You haven't noticed those microphones in the headliner near the sunvisors? How do you think the mbrace let's you talk to someone when you call in an emergency or roadside assitance?

im using the handsfree calls i never had doubts the microphone exists but does it transmit interior's constantly or only when the handsfree calls are monitored. and if either one is correct how come none such cases have been revealed? or its my igonrace, if you are aware of this have happened already please post it might be a life saver fot some

You deal with it by not worrying about it. They aren’t tracking you all the time. But if needed, they can certainly see where you are. All the cars for years have had the capability to pull info. It’s mandated by US law. If you have a GPS,they can pull up your location. They certainly are not consistently tracking every modern car on the road. You don’t want to be able to be located, you need to buy a car from the 70s.
