Not very delicate is he! This design is brutal for a consumable component replacement.

I am not brutal, but the plastic tray is well wedged in, its hard to be delicate and get it to move. The problem is it doesn't give, so you can't feel if its about to move in the way you can when say undoing a tight screw

Agreed it's not something you can be gentle with. I did this 2 weeks back. It's interesting though, mine required 2 screws to be removed in addition to pulling back the carpet and pulling the plastic foot moulding. I wonder if either they changed that design or if the guy before me just tucked it all together wrong and I simply repeated his mistake...

I was expecting 2 screws but only one fitted and only one thread in the dashboard to receive a screw
