Hello, so I want to upgrade my 2018 steering(1st picture) wheel to the new ones which I’m going to attach below(either of two) does it need programming & coding or is it plug & play? Also where can I get OEM with good price, if anyone knows please send and thank you. Also which steering wheel do you all prefer from these? My steering wheel Option #1 Option #1
I got a couple wheels on hand if youre interested, option #1 wheels 2020, you dont want the option 2 wheel. they newest amg it doesnt really fit in well with the older models.
1: Carbon top and bottom, Alcantara sides, orange stitching, silver trim
2. carbon top and bottom, alcantara sides, white ring, white stitching, silver trim
3. carbon top and bottom, Perforated leather sides, red ring red stitching, silver trim
4. carbon top and bottom, perforated leather sides, grey stitching, red ring, black trim and buttons
all those wheels come with an airbag

yes it requires programming but not via star or any other diagnostic tool. you need an adaptor in the wheel itself
you can buy a used wheel but then you will need to find someone who can provide you with the adaptor itself. depending on the options in your car it can range from $300+
By the looks of it, the top row of buttons on the steering wheel work ok but the bottom (I assume is cruise select) needs some sort of module or coding.

as for the module; thats a module I use, have all the different programs for it
cruise control on the steering wheel wont work on anything older than 2019 (late model)
