Hi everyone, I just bought a e class coupe 2019 and the last owner had a dash cam fitted. I don’t know how it was wired but it’s affecting Apple CarPlay which seems to only work when the ignition is off and dipped headlights are on. When I start the car I get a error message saying”Apple CarPlay could not be started”. Desperately trying to make it work but I don’t see any aftermarket wiring that might be causing this. Anyone seen or heard of this before ?

I know you posted a while ago but did you manage to rectify your issue , I've just bought a 2019 E Class Coupe and having the same issue ,car play only works if the sidelights or dipped beam are switched on ,

sorry for the late reply, but I did not get the issue fixed since the car was out of warranty I left it and sold it as is. Please let me know if you had it fixed as I’m planning to get another E class.
