iPod Nano Compatibility
Well this thread doesn't seem to be getting any traction in the Audio/Electronics section, so I thought I'd post here.
I have both a Gen 6 and Gen 7 iPod Nano. They plugged into the USB media port on my old 2017 C-Class Coupe and worked great. Now I have a 2023 C238 Coupe (E-Class) with USB-C connectors and when I plug it in (using a USB to USB-C adapter cable) it says that my device isn't compatible. I don't like keeping music on my phone, so can anyone either offer me an alternative (e.g., a newer Nano) or a fix so that the system can see the device?

If it were me I'd transfer the music/folders to a USB-C mini flash drive. Maybe something like this (or even smaller) https://www.samsung.com/us/computing...-muf-256da-am/

I drop my music files to a sandisk; have slot in the glove box that it fits, and right now I have 4K songs on there. Had one in our R231, A238 and now the S213; simple to use.

I know this is an old thread and you probably resolved it but mine did the same thing when I connected it using a USB cable. The way I got it to work is annoying, but it does work.
You can plug in the cable to charge the Nano.You get the "device not supported" message if it's plugged in. BUT if you unplug it and connect it via bluetooth, it works.
Stupid, but it does work and mine also worked on all my previous Benz cars.
