Although probably not appropriate for a non AMG E-Class, Pilot Sport 4S surprisingly have good ride quality for summer performance tires, otherwise get something that is foam filled like the ones in the S-Class.

Regarding the braking

I am also a happy owner of an E450. Because I have ordered the car with head up display, when the car is at comfort mode and there is a car in front of me that slows down, the hud shows me -only then- a special warning symbol that also my car is "breaking" if I put my foot off the pedal. It's not actually a braking but something happens to slow my car down and is feeling like breaking. I assume it has to do with the recuperation and how this applies.
When in sport and sport+ mode I never take this special sign on the hud and the car never breaks.
The manual says nothing about the special symbol and it is only visible on the head up display.

For the air noise I agree that they should pay more attention to the insulation of the car.
Other than that it's an excellent car.

Any chance you are talking about this https://www.mercedes-benz-vans.ca/co...st-generic.jpg
That is the anti-collision warning, it is usually there to warn you even if it doesn't brake.
As for the recuperation depending on your model year, you might have the 48V mild hybrid one which charges the 48V battery or the old one without 48V mild hybrid that basically uses engine brake and then charges the 12V starter battery.

I am very familiar with the systems of the car, it's not the collision warning. I have the 48v mild hybrid with the additional 21 hp. It is a very strange symbol that cannot be found even on the Internet. If you are really interested I can photo or videoshoot the head up display when the symbol lights on when I follow another car that is moving slower than me on the front.

I will at first chance. Not even the manual of the car has the symbol and it's explanation , it's the only info missing. I understood it by myself after many trials and notice.
It only shows up on the hud when a car in front of me is stopping e.g in red light , or even when I approach another car in higher speed (not much) and i lift my foot from the gas then this symbol lights on the hud and also the regular eq boost symbol on the dash screen shows "charging" at the exact same time.
It has become so routine to me that I also "calculate" in my mind this small braking force when I come to a stop behind another car.
When in sport mode the symbol does not come up and also of course this small braking force of the recuperation is not being applied.

2016 C300 4Matic traded in for a 2022 E450 Coupe
It’s showing you that you are close to, and going faster than the car in front of you. You can see the same symbol on the center left display if you select driver assistance with the left thumb switch. It doesn’t have anything directly to do with the 48 volt system. When you take your foot of the gas peddle the system starts charging as a by product of you slowing down.

No, it's not correct what you say. If you look closely, the timings are different (red triangle warning light on hud also and symbol, also I feel the car slowing down only then (you can easily understand it also from the speedometer). Check carefully and you will see the red triangle light operates differently. Also, when I put sport and sport+ this symbol never shows up no matter how close I am to the front car but the red triangle warning is showing.

I think I see what you are talking about, it is the symbol with the car and a green dots surrounding making a circle right?

Yes, right! Exactly this! I have search everywhere, there is not any reference regarding this symbol not even a picture on the Internet!

As I said earlier, that symbol indicates you are close to the vehicle in front of you and moving faster than it is. It comes on well before the red triangle and auto braking begins.

If this is the case, why when in sport and sport+ this symbol never comes on and of course i also don't feel the recuperation happening..? why is this?

Maybe it is what Mikey53 said as he seems very sure for it.
It happens very often and with very regular driving.
At the very moment the symbol comes on it always start the recuperating braking.
Maybe it means "hey you drive too close" and in this case it starts recuperating braking because in any case I as a driver will press the brakes shortly.
It just makes me wonder why it is asynchronous with the red triangle light and it comes on only when I lift my foot off the gas pedal.

I see, guess it is settled then. Thanks for your reply and thanks forum member Mikey53 for chiming in still strange this symbol isn't found anywhere on the internet or the user manual.
