2023 E53 AMG Cab - some tire wear data
Here's some data:
Continental All Season Pro Contact Runflats 19's - stock 245 & 275 tire from new.
First 5000 miles was a long road trip.
Then lots of trips to town & back, mountain roads.
In February I had to replace a tire - road damage.
Now at 10500 miles, so say 3500 miles on that tire, front left. It has 4/32 tread.
Front right 3/32, rear 4/32 & 5/32.
Continental and Discount Tire are going to significantly reduce the price of the next set of tires, via goodwill for 3/4 as 3 are not warranted OEM tires.
Some tales are around that OEM tires use a different compound to the same tire in the aftermarket.
Continental say that is BS.
Three miles of my drive to town and the same heading home is on blacktop mountain roads with no speed limit and very little traffic, so I do enjoy that, but rarely get above 50 mph.
Tire wear is even - no signs of misalignment.
Is this normal / typical?
Is anyone getting close to 20,000 miles on a set of all season tires on an E53 AMG?
etc....
