A crack in my coupe
My 2022 E450 coupe has developed a cracking noise. It is triggered by torsion of the body, such as turning into an elevated driveway which induces a twist in the body. This crack can occur on either side and is just behind the door in the panel near the seatbelt valet as best as I can tell. The sound is not low pitched nor high-pitched. It’s best described as a single crack or creak. It never occurs on smooth roads, driving in a straight line or on curves, even with hard cornering. It is not particularly triggered by hitting bumps.
Does anyone have an idea of what it is, where it is, and how to fix it?
