Just picked up my CPO 2023 E450 Cab. Detailing it I decided to open the fuel door. Yes, car is unlocked. I pressed on the rear side, heard the latch motor actuate but no opening. Tried multiple times. Walked to the front to get the operator's manual and looking back the door opened on its own. Closed it and pressed it, heard the mechanism and no opening. I found if I placed a plastic pick in the the space between the body and door, press the door and give a little (very little) help and it opens consistently over and over. Now I keep a plastic knife in the drivers door just in case and will not drive with less than a half tank. I've owned the car two days so will find time to take back to dealer. It seems the opening s spring isn't powerful enough to give it the inertia to open which is why a little prying does it. My wife's longer fingernail could do it as it takes almost no prying at the time of pressing to open it. So long story anyone experience this?
Maybe a little WD40 on the fuel door's hinges?
