Welcome to the 238 Coupe / Cabriolet platform section

Welcome to the new section of the forum for the 238 platform cars.

Thanks to Speedlimit for setting this up.

If you know of any threads which should be moved here then please report the post. I have also created a thread in the 207 section where you can post a link to the thread that has been reported (most will be in there I believe) so that the admins don't get multiple reports for the same thread.

Enjoy (and bugger off from disturbing the 207 brigade )

regards,

Stu

Traded in our '13 C250 coupe for this...

Designo interior...

Designo white exterior looks pretty darn good especially under sunlight.

Just got my 2019 AMG E53 a couple of weeks ago, less than 9000 miles so it still feels brand new. It’s lunar metallic blue, with black and saddle brown interior, 20 inch wheels. I traded in a 2014 E 350 cabriolet for this car, and while I loved my cabriolet, this car is something else. I can’t stop looking at it after I leave the car lol. I’m actually not sure what category this car fits in. I thought it was W213 but now I’m not so sure.

I’m going to add PPF to the front and get a ceramic coat applied to protect the paint. Was also thinking of getting the brake calipers painted yellow for a bit of contrast. Otherwise I love how understated it looks.

First E53 I've seen in Lunar Blue - my favorite color. These 20-inch rims are a nice addition.

I love the saddle brown interior in both of your cars. Just can't go wrong there

My E53 Cabriolet is the perfect car for me. I can fit two sets of golf clubs in the trunk with the top down, and there is sufficient leg room in rear seats if I need to carry more than two people which is rare.
It’s aggressive looking and sounding but not so much that police focus in on you. Technology is great too.
I have white w/ black top and red/ black interior.

How are you getting golf clubs in the trunk? Through the backseat perhaps? I’ve only eyeballed it so far but I don’t see my carry bag fitting without some horrendous bending that the clubs wouldn’t enjoy.

In the trunk door. Club heads to the right and just put the bag in. If you are fitting two sets- heads to the right. First bag push left side (bottom of bag) forward and under the roof storage barrier. Second bag club heads to the right and drop in. You can have the top down while doing this.

well, that experiment didn’t work. Even with the top up, backseats needed to be down to fit one set of clubs in. 2 sets was no way Jose. Top down? Nope, not even one set.

2023 E-450 Cabriolet, 2022 GLE 53 AMG Coupe
ALL:

2022 SL AMG 43,53,63,73e will have AWD....and it'll be a 2+2.....will that replace older( 2020 and older) E-cabriolets ?

Happy to join in this group since I drive a 2018 E-400-4M Cabriolet for summer/fall and a 2016 GLE-450 AMG Coupe during heavy snow
\and icy Canadian winter roads/highways

Just got an E53 cabrio, let's see how it does as a winter car in the mountains. On paper it should be great with the right tires and the capabilities of the chassis. With over 15 years with an SL that had to slumber through the winter, looking forward to having an interesting vehicle for the snow-free days.
